Change Icon of Windows Phone 8 app

We are finally starting with Windows Phone 8 Developer tutorials. In this tutorial I will show you how to create a new project and change icon of your Windows Phone 8 application. Questions like how to change App name, Tile icon and Tile title are also covered. You will also learn where to find out what are the resolutions for the windows tile/app icons, splash/lock screen and such.

As you may know my first Windows Phone App is on store. It is GPS SpeedGauge. If you like this tutorial please consider buying my app. It will bring me one step closer to Nokia Lumia 1020 phone.

At the bottom of this text there is YouTube video that will explain everything I didn't mention here.
The article that really helps with questions what size should Windows Phone 8 icon be is titled
Tile design guidelines for Windows Phone
On the bottom of the article you will find See Also > Other Resources > Icon templates for Windows Phone 8. It is a ZIP file containing PDF with all the sizes of the icons, tiles and the paddings/margins. Also inside there are PSD tamplates for all the windows phone icons, tiles, splash screens, panorama backgrounds, lock screens and more. You can use Photoshop to open and edit them.

Without further ado here is the YouTube clip showing you how to change icon of windows phone app...
